In today’s world, there is an increasing need by business owners to use mindfulness techniques in their overall operational strategy to ensure high sales growth and a collaborative working environment. According to a recent article published by Guidant Financial, in 2020, there was a 27% increase in the number of Entrepreneurial and small businesses that were created in comparison to previous years and that number continues to be on the rise. In a time when financial security is so important, and jobs and the economy is challenged, new business failure is not an option. Businesses need to create a collaborative environment where clarity, intention, productivity, and resilience are part of their day-to-day vernacular.

Integrating mindfulness into your business, marketing and work culture starts with a few steps:

  1. Start meetings by having members share one thing they are grateful for in regard to the business. An attitude of gratitude propels a meeting in a positive direction and attracts more good to the business
  2. Starting from a place of silence and gratitude, set intentions for your meeting. Allow all participants to share their specific contribution and accountability metrics on how they will manifest a positive outcome related to the meeting topic
  3. Set clear and measurable goals with specific timelines to amplify your success. As an example, “We will grow our sales by 10% with 1000 new clients and $100,000 in sales revenue by March 15th, 2021”. Goals should be direct and clear and provide the universe direction on the abundance that your business will attain within a specified timeframe
  4. Lead with value and connection versus ego in your marketing content and design. Allow market research and feedback from your ideal target audience to direct business decisions and strategy. While your thoughts are always valuable, they may not always reflect the needs of your customer.
  5. Use affirmative words and creative visual exercises when creating content and advertising to ensure audience connection

It is often said that children are our greatest teachers. In addition to the above, I am also the Youth Director at Center for Spiritual Living in Fort Lauderdale Florida.  I teach children ages 7+ how to use mindfulness techniques in their everyday practices to create and manifest the results they will achieve in their lives and for the good of our world. Using the law of attraction as a guide, I integrate the idea of like attracts like in business to propel success and sales. If our children can apply this and see results, adults and businesses certainly can as well.  I utilize the same principles I teach children to manifest abundance and prosperity in the work I do for Entrepreneurs who are developing their business and/or marketing strategy. These techniques connect them with their ideal target audience and attract said audiences to the good embedded in their products and services.

With over 20 years of Marketing experience working for brands like JPMorgan Chase, American Express and General Electric and understanding traditional marketing, I am clear that Mindfulness techniques will enhance your strategy and soar sales for small business owners and Entrepreneurs everywhere to heights they never imagined. Remember, the universe is filled with good for everyone, we just need to summon that good to our conference room tables and claim it to be ours.
